We are on the lookout for a Web Developer to join our growing team in Sheffield.

2J Design now have a full time position available for a Web Developer, our area of focus is on the Magento Platform, currently a team of 12 designers, developers and account handlers and one of Magento’s leading solution partners in Yorkshire.

This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic web developer to train in the art of Magento, the following is a list of must have skills.

• Strong HTML / CSS knowledge and ability to hand code.
• PHP/MySQL knowledge is an advantage
• Be a fast learner and ready to accept new challenges
• Show excellent communication and organisational skills.

Additional advantages but not essential
• Experience in Magento
• OOP Experience
• XML Knowledge
• Jquery

This position is open to junior developers and seasoned professionals, a salary will be discussed and based on skill level and experience.

For PHP Programmers training time will be allocated to get upto Magento Certified Developer Level.

For Front-end developers full training will be allocated to work towards Magento Certified Front-end developer.

Job Description

Job Term: Permanent – Full Time
Working as part of our SEO team, you will be required to assist with maintaining and developing client websites. This will include liaising with clients, conducting audits and preparing and delivering proposals.

Essential skills

  • Some HTML Experience to assist you in onsite SEO requirements
    (We have a full development team on hand but some HTML experience would be an advantage)
  • Conduct performance analysis, keyword research and performance ranking analysis for clients websites
  • Conduct online competitor analysis
  • Provide best practice SEO techniques, including Link Building, Online Marketing, Social Media
    (You will have on hand 2 PAs assigned to you to assist in Link Building and Social Media, as well as a team of experienced article writers)
  • Analise and make suggestions to increase conversion rates and reduce bounce rates in clients  websites.
  • SEO reporting, proposals and audits on a weekly or monthly basis
    (A PA will be on hand to create the SEO reports from your supplied data)
  • Ability to manage projects from concept to completion
  • Build and maintain good client relationships and ensure all SEO clients are kept upto date on a Weekly basis with the assistance of a PA.
  • Be willing to attend client meetings, conferences and exhibitions throughout the UK along with the SEO Director.
  • Up to date with the latest in SEO and search engine algorithms
  • Strong web analytics and reporting skills with good knowledge of Google webmaster tools and analytics

 

Additional skills desired

  • Ability to work alone and develop strategies and allocate tasks within a team
  • Experience of WordPress and Ecommerce.
  • Some sales experience and client care skills
  • Uunderstanding and ability to develop SEO campaigns
  • Understanding of setting up Social Media Campaigns
  • An understanding of PPC would be an advantage
  • Good written and oral skills

We are looking for fast learners with a sales and marketing background to work with one of Sheffield’s leading Web Design agencies.

The correct person for this role will be a fast learner, understand the concept of websites and design and willing to learn the processes involved to aid in sales and marketing, the majority of the work will involve following up leads received through our own website quotation forms and lead generation websites, assisting with advice and help on forums we are active in as well as assisting in our marketing and social media, all of which are useful lead generation streams.

This role has potential of earning good money through commission due to the value of an average project. Full training will be provided however you must show willing to learn, be the type of character to pick things up quickly and show initiative.

We are looking for a short term PHP programmer for a minimum 2 – 3 months contract, you must be flexible and able to work from our Sheffield Offices.

The applicant must have strong PHP skills and able to develop a platform from scratch, the development will be based around a e-learning platform, you must be experienced in PHP, MySQL and an additional advantage will be Magento experience as the platform will sit closely with a Magento website.

Meet Magento UK Conferance

With a huge response to our recent job posts for position of Graphic / Web Designer we narrowed it down and in the end decided to take on not 1 but 2 new members.

Ryan Eshelby will take up position of Web Developer / Designer, Ryan comes to us from another Sheffield based Web Design agency, Ryan will be a great asset to our already experienced team, bringing with him good experience in HTML / CSS and web and graphic design skills Ryan will start to handle projects after the initial design stage and assist our Magento Developers in building stunning Ecommerce Web Design projects.

As well as handing brochure and CMS projects Ryan will soon take on more project management based tasks assisting the Director in quality control and checking of final developments, Ryan joins us on Monday 3rd October and we will be more than happy to welcome him to our team.

Daniel Ketton is our other new recruit, Daniel is a local Sheffield based Graphic Designer who comes to us with 4 years Graphic Design training at College and 1 Year Graphic Design HND at University, starting as Junior Graphic Designer assisting our Creative Designer Neil in the initial design process of websites and enhancing our Graphic Design department.

We are currently undergoing a extensive office renovation and creating a new comfortable working environment with a real design studio feel.

2J Design Ltd are a Sheffield based web and graphic design agency focusing mainly on Ecommerce Web Design.

We are seeking either a design graduate with HTML / CSS experience and a creative flair or someone who may not be happy in their current role and looking to work with a fast growing agency.

The following skills would be an advantage.

• Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, including Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Graphic design experience
• Comfortable with working on Apple Mac’s
• HTML / CSS experience
• Knowledge of the internet and Ecommerce websites.

The following are not required as training will be given but any of the following skills will give an additional advantage.

• Ability to create vector illustrations in Adobe Illustrator
• Basic jQuery and PHP understanding
• Basic SEO knowledge
• A design qualification
