Advantages of hiring a Web Design Agency for customised Website Design
No comments · Posted by Jamie in Web Design Agency
Businesses have the option of hiring a web design agency for customised website design. A proficient Magento web designer from any competent web design agency can use the open source code to design and develop a customised website. Earlier, businesses were forced to use cookie cutter website design solutions since they could not afford the services of a dedicated web design agency and a Magento web designer to offer website solutions tailored to suit their requirements. The efficiency of cookie cutter solutions is limited. Today, businesses, both small and large, look for Ecommerce web design solutions tailor-made to suit their needs. Let us take a look at how engaging a proficient web design agency for website design customisation helps businesses.
The website design meets specific requirements: Every business has specific and limited requirements. It needs a layout that satisfies these requirements. Businesses want their layout to ensure that the attention of visitors is focused on the core purpose. The web design agency professionals can ensure that the website contains only those pages which are essential for the business. Alternately, the web design agency can tweak the graphic design to suitably highlight the important pages.
Visuals which convey the gist: Customisation helps pick the visuals that the business thinks is important for creating its online brand identity. A web design agency can be asked to forgo stock images and use images that emphasise the particular business and its logos. The business managers have a better idea about the kind of images that are relevant for the website and can share these ideas with the web design agency. The graphic designer can take over and ensure that these visuals are implemented.
Consistent flow: A cookie cutter website design has a pre-determined flow of features, functionality and information. If a business owner wants the website to have a flow consistent with the needs of the business, the web design agency can be instructed to alter the flow at the website design stage itself to realign it with the requirements. This ensures that the website delivers the message with the necessary impact.
Distinct identity: Every business wants to break from the crowd and ensure that its online presence is popular and unique. Customisation of web design gives the opportunity to make sure that the website design captures the attention of the target audience. An adept web design agency can put in sufficient efforts to guarantee a one-of-a-kind web design. This is helpful since cookie cutter designs make it difficult for customers to differentiate between discrete websites promoting similar products.
Flexibility: Well-run businesses are never stagnant. A business keeps improving and expanding its product portfolio, increasing its customers and achieving new benchmarks of growth. A web design agency can be chosen as a partner in today’s dynamic business environment. Constant updating and redesigning is simpler and cheaper when the web design agency and the business stick with each other from the conception to the maintenance stages. Hence, care should be taken when selecting a web design agency. It pays to choose an agency which will sustain the business’ growth requirements over a long term. Apart from the web design agency, the website design can also be customised to adjust to frequent changes.

What to look for when selecting a Magento Developer
No comments · Posted by Jamie in Magento Developer
Magento is one of the most preferred Ecommerce platforms owing to its adaptability and flexibility, allowing design of customised Magento shopping carts suited to a varied range of businesses. A Magento developer is a professional who provides Ecommerce solutions on the Magento platform. While selecting a Magento developer service for your Ecommerce website, the primary aspects to be considered are:
- Whether the developer has an established and organised operational set-up
- Experience of the developer in working on Magento Ecommerce projects
- Qualification, experience, creativity and ability of the Magento Developer team which would work on the project
- Whether IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) issues in the use of Magento platform are addressed satisfactorily
- Convenience of geographical and time zone proximity
- Does the developer focus on Ecommerce development and offer specialised Ecommerce development services
- Are the services offered cost effective
It is always advisable to assess previous work offerings by the prospective Magento developer to get a first-hand experience of her/his design and related capabilities. Most companies showcase their successfully completed works on their website, along with client testimonials. Hence, this could be the right forum to test the capabilities of the prospective developers.

February saw a number of sites go live offering a huge variety of products from beautiful bouquets from www.monicafhewitt.co.uk to www.tradewindsimporters.co.uk suppliers of beautiful natural products!
With the help of Skype we launched www.shaverhut.com.au proving time difference is no barrier to great design.
One of my personal favourites www.yourhairproducts.co.uk treating the UK to some of the most exclusive hair products available to buy today.
We also had some amazing logo briefs which our graphic design team did an amazing job from Swimming to Hair to Toys for a catalogue of our logos please contact nicola@2jdesign.co.uk. Look out for more launches at the end of the March.

If you don’t have Google Analytics installed on your site as a part of your web design, get it installed at the earliest. Your web design should ensure that you get the opportunity of constantly monitoring your statistics – where your visitors are coming from, tracking conversions on sales, etc. If you examine these things in depth on a regular basis, you will quickly get an idea of what works and what doesn’t. If most people are exiting your site on a particular page, you can revamp the web design of that particular page to prevent this from happening. If your average page views are down or your bounce rate is up, have a think about what could be behind this. Also be sure to note when you send out newsletters or update your site, as you will be able to tie this information into your analytics trends. Web design is not just about “tricking” a search engine into ranking your website on page 1. The truth is that if you are relying on SEO to bring in the bulk of your business, not just your web design agency, but also your business model is in a soup. Putting the fate of your business in the hands of the search engine is not a viable business strategy. Good quality SEO can be very effective, but don’t rely on it entirely. A good search engine position should be the result of a viable business proposition and a competent web design.

Ecommerce Web Design facilitating regular updating
No comments · Posted by Jamie in eCommerce Web Design
What is it that separates online stores that fail compared to those that do OK and those which are extremely well-off? There are certain traits or pre-requisites, which, when incorporated in the ecommerce web design, help obtain a favourable review for any ecommerce website. While these do not necessarily guarantee the success of the ecommerce website, they do seem to help the website become more favoured. We discuss some of these:
- Daily updating of the website: Weekly or monthly updates are not enough if you want your website to reach its full potential. Even if you don’t have new products to add on a daily basis, you need to find a way to keep things happening so that people have a reason to come back. The ecommerce web design professional can suggest things like a daily special offer, a blog, editor’s picks, clearance sale, in-coming products, pre-orders, etc. This also ensures that the website is kept current and thereby increases the search engine rank.
- Regular newsletters: The ecommerce web design of a successful website should include a facility for sending out a customer newsletter to regular visitors at least once a week. This allows you to push special offers and new products and also raises brand awareness among potential customers. A branded e-mail template for sending out newsletters is a welcome addition.
